Gucci U-Play Watch Collection

The new U-Play range of Gucci timepieces for women was designed by Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini.

The U-Play features interchangeable bezels and bracelets in polished steel, leather, satin or rubber. These allow the wearer to change the combination of colours and materials to suit the occasion or to express her personal taste. The new watch, defined by a rounded dial with engraved monogram and tapered hands, is embellished with a decorative metallic horsebit motif, one of Gucci’s most iconic symbols.

The U-Play is distinguished by its functionality and versatility, making this watch practical, but also a stylish and an enduring companion for the ever-increasing pace of global living.

New Noel Hart Glass Sculpture

We have beautiful new blown glass works by Australian glass artist Noel Hart, including Spinifex Parrot (pictured). The inspiration for Noel Hart’s Parrotism series derives from his love of nature, and his fascination with parrots and their plumage. The subject of birds and their habitat has reappeared and disappeared in Noel’s work for over 20 years, both quite figuratively and completely lost to abstraction in paintings and works in glass.

Noel has just finished exhibiting at the artsCape Biennial in Byron Bay, where he was one of 65 professional Australian and international sculptors invited to create sculptures which convey messages about the environment and sustainability. Earlier this year Noel exhibited at SOFA New York, the United States' premier fair for outstanding contemporary decorative arts and design.

Jewellery by Lisa Kennedy

Sue Ellen Gallery is pleased to present the work of Australian designer/jeweller Lisa Kennedy.

Following formal jewellery-making and gemological training in England, Lisa went on to design and manufacture jewellery for quality jewellery houses including Paspaley Pearls. Lisa now creates individual designs in gold, silver, gemstones and pearls from her studio in the historic Victorian town of Maldon.

Gucci G-Frame Watch Collection

The refined elegance and pure femininity which inspire Gucci’s signature style are beautifully showcased in the new G-Frame watch collection designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini. The new line, designed for both day and evening, is characterized by exceptional attention to detail, unique materials and wearable colours.

The watch has a pretty mirrored dial enclosed by a case in the form of an elongated rectangle or a chic square. As well as classic black, the timepieces are available in beige, antique rose and slate blue; these colours apply to the satin straps with matching mirrored dials in brown, pink and blue . The rigid bangle model, made entirely of steel, displays the iconic Gucci horsebit clasp closure, and the precious version is adorned with premium-quality diamonds positioned at 6 and 12 o’clock.

Sculpture by Laila Bell

Sue Ellen Gallery is now exhibiting selected sculpture by Laila Bell, a Danish-born artist who is based in Byron Bay.

New Bouvier Collections

Introducing the Winter 2010 collections from Bouvier, Sydney. The Lola collection in sterling silver was inspired by Mexican photographer Lola Alvarez Bravo, friend of Frida Kahlo and a key figure in Mexico's post-revolution renaissance. Lola incorporates Bouvier's signature hand cutting.

The Wish collection features simple yet voluptuous shapes hand engraved with uplifting messages of love, peace and happiness.
