Antiques
Sue Ellen Gallery is proud to offer a select range of exquisite antiques, sourced from private collections in Australia and internationally. The Gallery specialises in 19th century French and Italian pieces, with a particular interest in carved, gilt wood.
When selecting furniture for the Gallery, we look for works that are beautiful, demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship, and are in exceptionally fine condition. Furniture by important craftsmen of the period is always sought after. You can normally expect to find a selection of quality consoles, mirrors and occasional furniture.
The Gallery also has many years experience dealing in antique French clocks and clock garnitures. Our 19th century clocks are very finely constructed, and presented in excellent working order. Styles and finishes vary, and may incorporate gilt bronze, enamel and porcelain decorative finishes. Particularly desirable clock garnitures incorporate a clock and matching candlabras.
Porcelain displayed in the Gallery is predominantly 19th and 20th century. At any given time the selection may include Royal Worcester, Wedgwood, Rosenthal and other European porcelain in a variety of forms.
With Sue Ellen's extensive experience as an antique collector and dealer, you can be confident that the Gallery's antiques are authentic and of high quality.
Sue Ellen Gallery is a member of the Australian Antique and Art Dealers Association, the leading industry body representing Antique and Fine Art dealers in Australia.
